My name is Jennifer Janusiak and I am a peer-recognized family law attorney and an author who focuses on helping individuals be their best and achieve their best results during the divorce process.

about me
I have practiced exclusively family law at Peckerman, Klein & Van Kirk, LLP in Milwaukee, Wisconsin since 2002. I have been a partner since 2009 and managing partner since 2017. I am admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and in Florida and am a member of several local Bar Associations. I am also a Fellow of the American Association of Matrimonial Lawyers and am the current Chapter president of the Wisconsin Chapter. I am a member of Inns of Court, Association for Women Lawyers, and Society of Family Lawyers. I am an American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers trained mediator.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1999, magna cum laude and with Honors, with degrees in General Business and French. One of my better college decisions was studying for a semester at the École Supérieure de commerce de Rouen, located in beautiful Normandy.
I attended the University of Wisconsin Law School, graduating magna cum laude in 2002 and am a member of the Order of the Coif. At the University of Wisconsin Law School, I was a Note and Comment Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review and participated in the Consumer Law Litigation Clinic. While still in law school, I was honored with distinguished academic achievement awards by the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Law School.
I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and maintain strong roots in the community. I received a Patrick Henry Award from the National Guard Association of the United States in 2011, a Community Involvement Award from the Association for Women Lawyers in 2012, and other community service recognitions over the years. I also volunteered for the Wisconsin National Guard Family Program from 2004 to 2013, serving in several volunteer positions and on the Family Program’s State Advisory Council. I am the chairperson of my town’s Plan Commission in Waukesha County. I served on the Parish Pastoral Council at the Basilica of St. Josaphat ending as chairperson, serve on the Stewardship Committee at St. John Vianney, and am a parishioner at St. John Vianney. I am a frequent author for professional publications, especially now that my children are growing.
